A semi-abstract suggestion of light, colour and shade on buildings and trees in an urban or city location. An imagined snapshot of a moment when the light of a summer evening makes surfaces sparkle with colour and shadow. I initially use brushwork to create much of the base colour and then apply knifework for texture, infusing the painting with extra energy.
